1. the English Ambassadors' arrival at the Court of the King of Brittany.
Many of Carpaccio's pictures illustrate more than one scene in the story. The main section of the picture shows the ambassadors making their formal request; on the extreme right we see the king listening to Ursula as she sets out her terms.
